The orphanage directors,Lance and Kim, are in the States from Africa. I was able to have a meeting with them and my pastor. It was confirming to both of us that we are a good fit for each other!
I expressed to them, however, that I do not have a departure date. The Lord has been very emphatic with me that I must spend an extended amount of time with him in prayer before he will release me to go to Africa.
They agreed that, though they are anxious for me to come, I must do as the Lord is directing me. So, for now, I do not have a date for when I am leaving. I am keeping all of the funds I have raised in a savings account. Any monthly support which comes in will also go into that account or help with my current training efforts.
For the Fall 2010: In addition to the time I am spending in prayer I am enrolled in a missions theology course and preparing to attend a missions conference in Nashville.

I am glad the meeting with them went well! Praise the L-rd for the confirmation and for their being ok with waiting a little while longer. I am excited to see what the L-rd does in/with you during this season before you leave, and how He will bless you for being faithful to Him. Yay Crystal!!!
